| With Laurel County and Madison County being split into five districts it is apparent that gerrymandering is occurring. The only way to solve this the problem is with a non-partisan commission for redistricting. Laurel County is the only county with a 50,000 plus population who does not have a State Representative who resides in their county. It's actually been 20 years since they have had one from there. People in both Laurel and Madison Counties are upset about this therefore "This has to change"!!!! | |||

| I support increasing the minimum wage at times when its necessary, one has to be careful because raising the minimum wage can sometimes hurt others who have worked there way up to a certain wage, those people often do not get a raise then when the cost of living rises its like there getting a pay deduction instead of a raise. I saw this happen to me when I was employed with Kroger's in the late 00's. | |||

| My top three priorities include the following: Job Creation: I want to recruit companies that pay a livable wage not a minimum wage to locate here in my district, we do this by bettering our road system, and educational standards. Better Wages: We have several companies present in the 89th District however they do not pay fair wages, as a legislature I will work to see that these companies pay a fair wage. Accessible Health Care Facilities: Jackson County is just one of a few Counties that does not have a Hospital, this has to change. |
